My First Gallery Exhibition in New York City

On June 30th 2026, I made a milestone in my development as an artist: the opening of my first gallery exhibition in Manhattan, New York. Having a painting displayed in a gallery was a goal I had worked toward for years. I never expected that my first gallery exhibition would take place in New York City, making this an important starting point for my work outside of my studio and into a professional exhibition setting.

The exhibition, Dreamtimes, brought together artists and their work for the gallery’s opening. Being included in the exhibition allowed me to present my work in a new environment and to take another step forward in my development as an artist.

The date of the opening also marked seven years since my mother passed away. The fact that these two dates coincided is something I will always associate with this milestone. Rather than viewing the two occasions as unrelated, I see their occurring on the same day as a meaningful part of the beginning of this chapter in my artistic career.

I am grateful to the gallery for the opportunity to exhibit my work, as well as to everyone who has supported my work and followed my development as an artist. This exhibition represents the beginning of a new stage in my artistic career, and I look forward to continuing to create, exhibit, and develop my work in the years ahead.
